Advances in resource management, recycling, waste management and waste prevention technologies are progressing rapidly. The integration of cutting-edge technologies is essential for the effective planning and implementation of the national waste management and prevention programme.
In order to provide a solid basis for the technical implementation of the Waste Management and Prevention Programme (WMPP), the following methodology will be applied: conducting an initial assessment of waste streams in Slovenia; assessing the current state of technology in Slovenia, including opportunities for technological and systemic innovation in this sector, and aligning with best practices from across Europe.
Objective: To assess the existing technological framework and explore opportunities for integrating new innovative technologies through an online survey and stakeholder interviews.
