The objective of the action is to strengthen the competencies and organisational capacities of key national and regional authorities to enable them to carry out their governance and regulatory responsibilities in line with the principles of the circular economy and sustainable development. The focus will be on the public sector (ministries, directorates and agencies), implementing bodies, particularly those interacting directly with citizens and businesses (inspectorates, agencies and governmental consent-issuing authorities), as well as policy-enabling organisations (public institutions and regional and local development agencies). The action will build on the knowledge and experience gained through the LIFE IP Care4Climate project and the activities carried out under the Deep Demonstration Slovenia project.
Objective: To establish a dedicated group of experts to provide training and promote circular practices among public actors; to develop a flexible circular approach that will serve as a basic document for increasing circular capacity among public stakeholders; to increase capacity for circular transition at all levels of the Government, both vertical and horizontal, through the delivery of 12 training sessions; to present and implement a monitoring plan to track improvements in capacity and knowledge, focusing in particular on public sector representatives.
