Digitalisation is an important component of the EU Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP). By analysing large volumes of data, raw data are transformed into valuable information that supports circular solutions and thereby facilitates the transition to a circular economy. To ensure the highest possible efficiency and long-term sustainability of the project's results, a digital platform will be developed for use by government authorities, businesses and citizens, enabling different types of interaction. The platform will focus on the following key aspects: soil management; waste management and waste treatment; transparent and clear tracking of material flows and processes; products made from secondary raw materials; and artificial intelligence support for waste management processes. In response to the recent floods in Slovenia, the action also includes digitalisation support for interventions and the rehabilitation of areas affected by natural disasters.
Objective: To optimise the implementation of the WMPP measures through: merging and optimising all soil management databases into a centralised database to streamline decision-making in administrative and other procedures related to soil management; establishing an exchange database for excavated soils to promote their reuse; creating a demolition register with data on quantities and properties of construction waste; developing a module for waste prevention with examples of best practice; digitising processes for preparing administrative procedures; enabling digital project reporting; providing digital tools to detect illegal landfills; creating a model of the structure of three industrial landfills; creating a database of standardised products made from secondary raw materials; using artificial intelligence to predict waste mass flows and optimise their management.
